Emerald Literati Award
Led by Lara Gunderson, Ph.D., the BHRCS team’s article The good coach: Implementation and sustainment factors that affect coaching as evidence-based intervention fidelity support published in the Journal of Children’s Services has been selected by the editorial team as “Highly Commended” in the 2019 Emerald Literati Awards.
For over 25 years the Emerald Literati Awards, which have included the Awards for Excellence and Citations of Excellence, celebrate and reward the outstanding contributions of authors and reviewers to scholarly research. The criteria used to judge the awards are based on six areas that inform the development of our products: internationality; diversity; support for scholarly research; encouragement of applied research (impact); commitment to high-quality scholarship; and a desire to ensure reader, author, and customer experience is the best it can be.

The Slavin-Patti Award
Cathleen E. Willging, Ph.D. (lead author) and the BHRCS team wins the Slavin-Patti Award for best practice research article. The article Perspectives from community-based organizational managers on implementing and sustaining evidence-based interventions in child welfare was selected by the Journal Awards Committee for best practice research article in 2018, Volume 42, of Human Service Organizations: Management, Leadership, & Governance.
