I have extensive experience and expertise providing technical assistance to increase access and quality of care and services for sexual and gender minority people, Native Americans, and other vulnerable and marginalized populations. I have provided training and consultation in this area for schools and universities; healthcare clinics and hospitals; physical, behavioral and mental health providers; social service programs; and local, state and tribal governments. I also have extensive experience designing and implementing culturally appropriate, community-based program development and evaluation plans for projects in education, social services, and economic and cultural development. My evaluation work focuses on the need for evaluation metrics, language and methodology to be aligned with the goals of the project and the culture and values of the community being served. My work is based on the understanding that one size cannot fit all and that creating equity for all individuals and groups requires an understanding of both the things we share and the ways in which we differ.
