Advance Care Planning (ACP) is known to improve the quality of life for people and their families at the end-of-life, yet Native American families often lack the needed information to do this important planning. This project funded by the National Institute on Nursing Research Grant R21 NR019910, is culturally tailoring an existing ACP teaching curriculum to meet the learning and informational needs of a specific Native American community. PIRE is contributing to this project though assisting with culturally tailoring the content of the guide through analysis and interpretation of qualitative data, redesigning the guide based on the analysis results, and revising the guide and associated curriculum based on community feedback.
