  • New Mexico Prevention Projects The “unofficial” website for the New Mexico Office of Substance Abuse Prevention. This website was created and is maintained by PIRE for the New Mexico Office of Substance Abuse Prevention (OSAP). This site provides information on OSAP programs, along with PIRE created evaluation tools and documents, and serves as a resourcess for community-level substance abuse prevention efforts in New Mexico.
  • Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE) A nonprofit organization specializing in conducting research related to health and social issues and translating science into practice in solution of real-world problems.
  • PIRE - Chapel Hill Center Founded in 1987, PIRE’s Chapel Hill Center specializes in designing and implementing innovative evaluation studies of programs and policies that address a variety of pressing behavioral health issues.
  • PIRE - Louisville Center Established in 2000, PIRE Louisville Center’s work is focused on improving the health, education, safety, and well-being of children, adults, and families locally, regionally, and internationally.

  • University of New Mexico Transdisciplinary Research, Equity and Engagement Center for Advancing Behavioral Health

    The Transdisciplinary Research, Equity and Engagement (TREE) Center is one twelve research centers of excellence funded by the National Institute of Minority Health & Health Disparities.  The TREE Center is committed to testing solutions for advancing behavioral health equity in New Mexico and the southwest region.

  • New Mexico Genders and Sexualities Alliance Network (NMGSAN)

    Part of the Santa Fe Mountain Center, the NMGSAN builds positive identity development, self-efficacy, mental health and empowerment of LGBTQ+ youth, young adults and communities.

  • Transgender Resource Center New Mexico (TGRCNM)

    TGRCNM provides support, community, and connection to transgender, gender nonconforming, nonbinary, and gender variant people and their families through advocacy, education, and direct services. 

  • Gay, Lesian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN)

    Our mission is to ensure that every member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

  • The Trevor Project

    The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.

  • National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)

    NIMH is the lead federal agency for research on mental disorders.

  • National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD)

    NIMHD’s mission is to lead scientific research to improve minority health and reduce health disparities.

  • NIH Sexual & Gender Minority Research Office

    The Sexual & Gender Minority Research Office (SGMRO) coordinates sexual and gender minority (SGM)–related research and activities by working directly with the NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices.

  • Scholars Strategy Network - New Mexico Chapter

    The Scholars Strategy Network is an organization of university-based scholars who are committed to using research to improve policy and strengthen democracy.
